Supported During Difficult Time

I want to express my gratitude today for being part of this Independent church and for having such a wonderful community of people across the globe and our church family. I just I love how I could literally go to any state in the country or even hop across the pond to the UK or down to Australia and be able to connect with a Plainfield member there. We came to this church after a pretty terrible event in our family. It really rocked us to the core and we’d been struggling to understand Christian Science and make sense of things. This church has been such an amazing light to us, to myself revealing so many misconceptions of Christian Science we’ve been living under. We certainly felt like we had started over to relearn it; the correct way and while it hasn’t always been easy to put off the old man, as Paul says, because that man can be a bit clingy and resistant at times. I can honestly say that the more I have put it off has been so freeing and has brought so many blessings into both my work life and my personal life. How how I approach everything and for so much more. I’m just very grateful to Mrs Eddy for Illuminating the truth for us, for doing the Pioneer work of figuring it all out, for writing it down, and standing up to the resistance; showing us how to do it as well. I can’t imagine trying to make sense of this world without that guidance, without the guidance of Jesus teaching, Mrs. Eddy’s Revelation, and for this church and its practitioners and members who are making the climb up the mountain with me or in my case throwing me a rope and helping to haul me back up.
