Long Standing Digestive Issues Healed

I would like to thank our practitioner at this church for her holy prayers, which are felt by us profoundly here in Australia, and for the instruction that she gave me a few weeks ago. For as long as I can remember, I had always suffered a digestive problem – it was always there, on and off over the years, stemming from punishments of being force-fed as a child. Recently my husband and I were recalling that after arriving in America and spending time praying at the precious and holy Plainfield Independent Christian Science church and spending time with the practitioner and the congregation, these digestive problems had gradually ceased; I even was able to eat a New York pizza slice as well as the many beautiful healthy and nutritious meals that were provided to us by the church congregation at Plainfield. 

In coming back to Australia, this digestive problem started to come on again, on and off a little bit at first, and then became quite intrusive a few months ago, where I really was not looking forward to eating at all. I tried some simple physical things – removing different foods from my diet and practicing different ways of eating, but as had so often happened in the past, this course of action only reduced my menu options even further and would send me down an ineffective material path, if it could. I recalled the decades of proof in my life that God is the great and master Healer, and soon I realised this was not a food problem, in fact it had nothing to do with food or digestion, and that loving our dear God, in living life according to Christian Science, the solution would present.

I continued calmly, and bit by bit, I was having whole days and nights where this was again not a problem at all. But it wasn’t until I was given an article a few weeks ago by our Plainfield practitioner, entitled “Christian Science Protective Work,” written by Bicknell Young, that I was profoundly and completely healed of this complaint. In studying this article, I have found many questions about the trials of my childhood being answered by God. I’ve often declared that my whole relationship with God was forged during the brutality of my formative years but tonight I do now know that there was a definite purpose of those years – and we know that truly nothing that happens in this material world can ever hurt the real spiritual selfhood – only God is ever there and all evil is just a mortal dream as dearest Mary Baker Eddy has told us in her writings. I am very grateful to know my dominion in God, who ever has been and will be my true Father-Mother God, Creator of all. And so now, just a few days ago, I realized that those digestion issues that had dogged me for my whole life have completely disappeared, completely vanished, and I am made new all over – a new creature, just like the Bible tells us.

I do witness here and now that God has completed and totally healed me of that lifelong digestive complaint. Truly, Christian Science has helped me so much in my life – all the good in my life has come through God in Christian Science. I’m so grateful to this independent church, our holy practitioners, and our church members that we may practice the true Christian Science here. Thank you, God, for giving humanity Christian Science – the Science and Law of all things in a way we can understand. Thank you, Christ Jesus, for your sacrifice in opening the way for this divine Theology to come to us in a way we can all use, through the revelation given to Mary Baker Eddy.
