Lost Energy Restored Through Prayer

Cristina, Mexico

Several months ago, the demands and pressure of my job began to increase. At first, it seemed to be wearing me down. I began to complain to myself and think that I couldn’t keep up with the new work pace. As always, the first thing I do in the morning is pray and listen to the weekly lesson; nevertheless, I found it very difficult for me to get up and prepare myself to go to work, and I felt tired all day long. I realized that it was actually an opportunity to defy the physical laws of fatigue and all the stuff that does not come from God. Thanks to the study of Christian Science, prayer, and the support of my practitioner, I have been breaking through the barriers of so-called physical fatigue. And now my energy surprises even me. In Science, we learn that, as spiritual beings, our energy comes precisely from the divine Spirit, not from a body that we consider material.

It is wonderful to realize that the feeling of weariness is mental and that God gives us dominion over this belief. In Science and Health, by Mary Baker Eddy, we read. “God rests in action.”. I also want to thank God for the opportunity I have had for some time now to record the lessons in Spanish for the Plainfield church website, an opportunity to spread the Word. It is a sacred task that fills me with great joy and gratitude for being able to serve my Father in this way. In fact, I consider it to be the most important task I have at present. Finally, I am very grateful for the Sunday Roundtables, which are a source of instruction, inspiration, and rebuke for me, as well as the beautiful and inspiring weekly lessons from this church. Unity Watches are also something special. I am very grateful for the metaphysical support of the beloved practitioner and her devoted work. Thanks to God, to the Christ, to the Holy Spirit, and to Mrs. Eddy for her legacy.
