Division in Club has Harmony Restored Through Prayer

I’m most grateful for this experience, as I didn’t have to try to think back to where I had been and where I might have lost the card, or to phone the bank to cancel it, or anything which I might have done in the past. I still have no idea how my card came to be lost, but I didn’t need to. God had the solution already, and it was perfect. I’m also very grateful for something which affected my husband recently. He has belonged to a small railway club for many years and has long-standing friendships there. A little while ago, one of the members started trying to take over and control various activities in the club, and to override the democratic provisions and rules. This caused division within the club, as some members stood by the rules, while others backed the individual. I don’t remember praying specifically about any of this, more than to declare in thought that “God has a solution” each time the club was mentioned. Meetings were held, and votes taken to try to resolve matters, but the division continued, and at one stage, it looked like the club would close for good. But then the most unexpected thing happened, as a result of which the individual and a couple of his supporters left the club. Because he was leaving, he had to return all the club funds and items of equipment he had taken, and I’m so grateful that the club is now moving ahead again in full agreement and harmony. The solution was so unforeseen that only God could have done this, and l’m so very grateful for this matter being resolved so perfectly.

I’m very grateful for this Independent Christian Science church, for all its activities and teachings. I’m grateful to Christ Jesus and Mary Baker Eddy, who showed us by their example and instruction how to live a Christian life, to the loving practitioners at this church, and to the church members for all they do.
