Productive Day Follows a Healing of Shakiness

Barbara, MA

I’d like to express my gratitude for a healing I had. When I woke up, I didn’t feel well. My stomach wasn’t right. I felt rather laded and was a bit shaky on my feet. Immediately, the usual questions came to mind. What could be causing this? Was it something I ate? some sort of stomach bug or maybe a reaction to the heat. It was at this point that I checked my email to see if I had any messages. And miracle of miracles, there was an article sent to me by my dear Plainfield practitioner who was helping me deal with another problem. The article could not have been more apo. It speaks of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God and that there is nothing apart from him. It speaks of the many ways we can be duped into believing the lie of a power apart from God and the necessity of being ever alert. It was a perfect treatment and immediately began to turn my thinking around.

Luckily, I had nothing pressing on the schedule, so I was able to spend more time in study and prayer. Another article, from another Independent Christian Science website, that I found very inspiring was by Wentworth Byron Winslow called, “The Presence of God the I am.” In it among other things he talks about air. We can’t see it but it is everywhere and we breathe it wherever we may be. We do it naturally without giving it thought and the constituents of the air vitalize us. So it is with God omnipresent good. We can’t see it but we are surrounded by good embraced by it and in it, “We live and move and have our being.” We don’t have to search for God or struggle to find Him. That would be like a fish in the middle of the ocean trying to find water. And just as the heir gives freely of all the things of which it is constituted to man, so God gives to man whatever God has to give and withholds nothing. It is as natural as breathing. This was a very vivid picture to me and I found it very comforting. In the evening, I was feeling better.

The next day, I awoke perfectly well and had a productive day. I’m so grateful for this practical Science and for the loving support of my practitioner. I’m especially grateful to this church for making available the writings of the early workers. Each one has their own unique approach to presenting the truth and clarifying this Science.
