Project Kept on Track Through Prayer

Eaglet, PA

I am grateful for a recent lesson. I was involved in managing a large project that involved putting roofs on several buildings. A great deal of time was spent either dealing with the roofers or praying to keep the project on track, and on top of that, the roofers were challenging to work with. My work in prayer was to identify the individuals involved as expressions of God, and that this was the only thing that was going on, and I held to this consistently. The whole experience resulted in great spiritual growth. When the project was finished, it was a great job, and both sides were pleased with it. It also did not cost me any more money, and it ended with both sides liking each other too. This was a first for me, as usually when a project goes south early on, it results in me firing the contractors and being angry. This was a tremendous step “upward” for me. Usually, I fight it out humanly. Clearly, I need to do more praying than human fighting. It has much better results. I am very grateful for Christian Science and all that I am learning.
