Healed of Nerve Disorder

Carol, NJ

For a couple of weeks I was waking up during the night with strange feelings in my legs. I would have to get up and walk around for a while until it stopped. I think it’s supposed to be some sort of nerve disorder. A Plainfield practitioner gave me a quote from the Bible: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and that my soul knoweth right well.”(Psalm 139) I reasoned that if this truth is deep within my soul,—and my soul knoweth it right well, nothing could dislodge it from my being, or make me disbelieve it.

I prayed with that often during the day and every night before I went to bed, and that was the end of it—it stopped right away, and I was able to sleep the whole night. I’m grateful to see another proof that when we stand up to error, it backs off. Mary Baker Eddy says, “‘Resist the devil, and he will flee from you,’ is the motto. The devil cannot stand against resistance.” (by Gilbert Carpenter) I am very grateful to God for this quick healing and to Mary Baker Eddy for giving us this wonderful Christian Science.
