Ear Blockage Healed

I am grateful for all the teaching and living of Christian Science at the Plainfield Independent Church. I am continually grateful for the new things that I learn and how to apply the discipline necessary to live Christian Science in my daily life.

Over ten years I have experienced changes in my life because of the instruction here, more stability, peace, joy, courage, and many other qualities that have replaced many negative habits. This did not come overnight nor without struggles. I came across a covenant that I made with God after instructions here on how covenants help you stay on the straight and narrow. It can be easy to get distracted and pulled off course. Early on, I was so happy to have found this church that I didn’t fully appreciate its blessings and wisdom until later. You can see an example on this website of a covenant with God written by Adam Dickey’s father. This has provided a structure of gratitude, self-examination, obedience, and daily prayer; all a part of my walk with God.

I mention this in hopes of encouraging others, especially new listeners. Not long ago, I was healed of a hearing problem. This issue was interfering with my ability to hear and lasted for over a year. At first, I thought it would clear up on its own. Over time, I tried a couple of material remedies like wax removal without success. One day, while talking with my Plainfield practitioner, I felt an adjustment in my ear. It became normal and clear. I know that it was the preparation of the heart that made it possible for the practitioner’s prayers to reach me.

Life with Christian Science is such a blessing. Thank you, God, Christ Jesus, Mary Baker Eddy, and those working to keep this Science vibrant, applicable, and available.
