Soccer Related Head Injury Healed

During a high school soccer game, I suddenly fell to the ground, unable to figure out where I was. Apparently, I got flipped into the air and landed hard on my head. It took fifteen minutes for me to gain my bearings. I was quite shaken and stayed out of the rest of the game. When I got home, I called for help from my practitioner in the Plainfield Church, because it was apparent that I had suffered a concussion, and it was nothing to fool with. She was so loving and confident that God loved me, and that “There are no accidents in divine Mind.” She said she would help me, and asked that I call back later in the evening, which I did, and reported that I felt fine. She asked me to call back the next day, to be sure all was well. The next day, after I reported that I felt great, she asked if I was reading the Lesson each morning. I had to admit I was getting pretty lazy about it. She said that when we have an experience like I had the day before, it is wise to take it as a warning, because these things don’t just happen. Reading the Lesson first thing in the morning is a protection. I will never forget those words. I am so grateful for the help I got, and to be shown that Christian Science is practical!
