Care Home for Parent Meets All Needs
Ann, England
I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to our heavenly Father for how things have worked out to date whilst Brian and I have been trying to support my mother in her own home during a mobility challenge. We have been spending many hours caring for her every day, and the challenges have been increasing. A kind friend told us about a care agency and a lovely care home locally in case we needed either. A couple of days ago, we were able to briefly visit the care home and look around and ascertain that, amazingly, they did have a vacancy.
Yesterday, we reached a point where more care than we could give ourselves was absolutely necessary, and the options were to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital or to try the care home. We knew that she would not be very well cared for in a hospital, where patients can wait many hours on a trolley in a corridor to be admitted, and she would hate all the medical attention. So, I called the care home, and they were immensely kind. They initially said they could admit her after the weekend. I asked if there was any possibility they could take her in that day. They called back and said they would make an exception, and they came out to see her within the hour and then admitted to a beautiful room. Generally, people can wait ages for a space in any care home.
I am truly amazed and so very grateful that this was possible. My mother has always been opposed to the idea of going into a care home, but I’m grateful that she seems to be very happy about her situation, where she has lots of staff to help her now. Thank you, dear God, for these blessings; divine Love has indeed met our every need.
