Young Vietnam Soldier Restored Mentally Through Prayer

I to want to express my gratitude for all that is offered at the Plainfield Christian Science Independent Church. It is like having a feast every day. I want to share how I originally found Christian Science. My husband and I had been stationed in Newport, Rhode Island. My husband worked as a Corpsmen in the service. He provided psychiatric help working with the doctors who were receiving the boys coming back from the Vietnam War. They were very damaged and suffered. My husband and the doctors were fervently trying to help these young men. Don said in they would meet every morning and lament that they were not healing these men despite all the treatments they tried. The young men were put in padded cells and given drugs. The only boy that came through they felt had been healed by a Christian Science practitioner who would come and visit him every day. Don noticed this and brought home the book Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. I read the book. I’m so grateful to you all for your website and teachings.
