Business Issues Resolved Through Prayer

Bertrand, France

Last week, I attempted to complete a task that I had started a couple of months ago. It involved uploading technical information and photos of the products sold by my company to the website of a very large client. There were many obscure technical details that prevented me from completing this task. So I asked my client to have someone who could handle my requests and call me back to resolve the issue.

After waiting several days, someone sent me an email suggesting a video conference call. I replied that this was not convenient for me because my computer does not have a camera or microphone, and that a simple phone call would suffice. I was in a bit of a hurry and annoyed at the time wasted. My client’s representative replied that this was not possible to do this by phone, and simply cancelled the appointment. So I sent her another email asking her to keep the appointment. At the time, I was very tempted to send another email to her line manager, this time to tell him that his colleague was not making any effort to help me, while thinking to myself that she was probably a negligent idiot.

However, this time I stopped myself. I thought that old habits like this were irrelevant and that I should just try to trust in the good, stay calm, and try to be accommodating. I borrowed the laptop of a coworker, and in the end, the video conference took place at the originally agreed time, and the person I thought was negligent proved to be very competent and helpful in resolving all the technical issues. It’s not much, but it helped me realise a little better that I can see God’s expression very simply and quickly just by refraining from impatient gestures and quick judgements. Thank you to our church for the support I receive here, and thank you, God.
