Anger Quieted and Health Returned During Roundtable

Cristina, Mexico

I am very grateful for this Plainfield church and all its activities. Last Saturday, I had a disagreement with a cousin of mine, who had a bad attitude towards me. I took it personally, let myself be bitten by the snake, and fell into the trap of getting upset. That night I slept well, but early Sunday morning I realized I was very angry. It had been a long time since that had happened to me. I tried to pray, but I couldn’t focus my thoughts. Then I started listening to the Roundtable. I struggled with the material senses at the beginning of the session, but as I listened to the wonderful truths that were being told, I began to recover myself. Little by little, I began to calm down. Every time the practitioner said “AWAKE,” it was like a BELL ringing in my ears. By the way, she said this word many times during this occasion. Besides, all that was said about grumbling and ruminating also helped me a lot. In fact, there was a moment when, my stomach literally started making noises, as if it were grumbling. I even started feeling pain. But that was just the prélude to destruction, because from then on, all the false emotion of feeling upset began to subside.

I saw very clearly the relationship between my stomach discomfort, so to speak, and anger. Nothing is in the body, it is just a mental projection. It was a very instructive Roundtable in every way. Later, during the service, I already felt fine. The song “God is Good All the Time” was so joyful that its joy was contagious. At the end, hymn 335 completed the work singing “The morning light is breaking, The darkness disappears”. At that moment, it became clear to me that the problem was not my cousin’s attitude, because evil is not a person, but rather the suggestion that I still share a negative family mindset that does not come from God. At the end of the service, I felt completely happy, joyful and grateful. The services at Plainfield are truly a feast of the SOUL, inspiring, powerful, and healing. God is with us every step of the way in this church, fulfilling its spiritual mission of raising the dormant understanding, as defined in the book Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. What a blessing to have this church, to be a member of it, and for everybody!
