Burn Healed Quickly

While doing some baking, I laid my arm on a shelf in the very hot oven. I could see that the flesh had been badly burned. I declared “God good,” and tried to declare some truths, but the pain was intense, and it was difficult to think.

I asked God to help me, and instantly I remembered a testimony I had heard at a Wednesday evening service in Plainfield Church. The testifier told of having been severely burned, and of working with the Scientific Statement of Being from Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 468. He was healed quickly. So, I began to pray, “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all.” The pain left quickly, and by the next morning, there wasn’t even a mark on my arm.

I thank God for this very quick healing. I’m also very grateful for the testimonies in our Wednesday evening services, and in Healing Thoughts magazine. I’ve often been encouraged and healed by remembering a testimony someone else has given. I’m grateful to Mrs. Eddy for providing these testimony meetings, and for giving us Christian Science. I’m so happy to have found Plainfield Church, where pure Christian Science is alive!
