Drill Injury Healed Through Prayer

Nancy, TX

I want to express my gratitude for this church and all of its dedicated members. There is a tremendous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, so to speak, to manage the many websites and plan the Round Tables, Bible studies, church services, and all the publications in both digital and paper formats. Christian Science is indeed the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus. One of our daily duties in the Manual is to defend ourselves daily from aggressive mental suggestions.

Recently, I was able to address a painful situation and stop the pain within 1 minute. I was framing a painting for an exhibition, and my drill bit slipped and punched a hole into one of my fingers. The pain was intense and it bled profusely. However, the first thing out of my mouth was the words “NO! We are not doing this,” and the pain stopped. No pain, no throbbing, and the bleeding stopped as well. I was able to put a band-aid on it and go about my business as usual. There was a hole in my finger but it healed over a short time. I never was inconvenienced by it at all. Thanks to Christ Jesus, Mary Baker Eddy, all the early workers in Christian Science who were faithful, and to Plainfield Independent.
