Healed of Acute Bronchitis

I thank our dear God for bringing me to Christian Science, which has been the saving Grace of my life for more than twenty-five years. I loved our dearest Mary Baker Eddy’s writings the moment I was given her textbook –Science and Health –  which I read with great interest and in great earnest and Love. In that time, I was healed of acute bronchitis, which had returned every winter since I was a child. It seemed to cause immense pain for years. Science and Health and the prayers of my Australian practitioner, Mr Graeme Strang, totally healed me. I was given many citations from from Science and Health to pray with, amongst which, on page 577 where Mrs Eddy elucidates the Holy City – she writes “This city of our God has no need of sun or satellite, for Love is the light of it …” she goes on to say, “All who are saved must walk in this light.” … and, “Its gates open towards light and glory both within and without, for all is good, and nothing can enter that city, which ‘defileth, … or maketh a lie.’”(Science and Health p. 577)

The practitioner – Mr Strang – then went on, in his very joyful voice, to explain, “Your breathing cannot be defiled because you were never for one moment outside the focal radiance of the glorious warmth, Light, Love, and Life of God.”  And it was so. No more bronchitis for me!  And that issue has never returned. Likewise, I had always been quite feeble and prone to illness, but each year since that first healing, I have found myself to be stronger and stronger and stronger, and this is all due to the pure Christ healing contained in Science and Health as written by Mary Baker Eddy. And over the quarter century since then, I have experienced many healings of all kinds, physical, spiritual, financial,  emotional – some have been quick, others slow, others coming in different masks only to be overturned by the Christ! In all instances, it has been God’s pure Love, as shown in Science and Health, that has done the healing.

I would also like to thank our dear God for bringing me to this utterly unique and precious independent Christian Science church. And I give great thanks for the gift to listen to holy recordings on the Church website, wherever I am, whatever I am doing, I can hear the sacred writings of the Bible and Science and Health and the many recordings of Mrs Eddy’s works and those of her faithful students. I am also incredibly grateful for the dear holy prayers of my Plainfield practitioner – precious, pure, holy prayers that are felt very strongly here in Australia. For the wonderful teaching we are given at this church, including the encouragement to take up church work, as I have found church work to be the most powerful and wonderful protection, blessing, and growth, to be a working member of this church. Thank you to my Plainfield practitioner for her holy prayers and teaching. I am so grateful – my husband, Christoph, is also very grateful. Thank you, God – Thank you, Christ Jesus – Thank you, Mary Baker Eddy!
