Nausea and Diarrhea Healed

A couple of weeks ago, I woke up with a bad stomach ache. As the day progressed, the pain increased. Along with the stomach ache, there was nausea and diarrhea. I tried to work for myself, but could not seem to lift myself out of what I knew was a mortal dream. So I called a practitioner from the Plainfield Church, and asked for help.

When I told the practitioner about my problem, she lovingly said that it “needn’t continue any longer.” She indicated with confidence, that it could be healed right away! She asked me to read in Science and Health, the passage where Mrs. Eddy tells us that it is God, who “regulates the condition of the stomach, bowels and food.” The practitioner said she would be working, and to call her later that day, or in the morning.

When I got off the phone with the practitioner, I read the passage from Science and Health as I was asked to do. I remember thinking, how wonderful it is that Science and Health contains the right statements that not only fit, but are capable of healing all human conditions. In a short time, I fell asleep. I woke up exactly 20 minutes later, totally free of the stomach ache. The nausea was gone as well. I felt refreshed. There were no further episodes of diarrhea. I thanked God for this quick healing, and the thought came back, “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.” That was the end of the problem. I was so happy to be able to report to the practitioner that I was quickly and completely healed!

I am so grateful for Christian Science, for membership in this independent church, and for the practitioner who always turns my thought to God.
