I am grateful for a healing of a very painful shoulder. I called a Plainfield Christian Science practitioner. When I expressed to her that I was trying to know what fault in myself needed correcting, she suggested that I just turn wholeheartedly to divine Love. Later I found myself walking to and fro in my apartment, sitting down, standing up, just trying to get comfortable. For a few seconds at a time there would be no pain, which was important because during these intervals it just felt like a void and I realized it wasn’t freedom from the pain I wanted but to feel God’s love. A wonderful sense of God’s love flooded my consciousness leaving me with a sense of peace and joy and naturally the pain was gone. Thinking about this experience reminds me of the importance of motive in healing. It’s wonderful that a righteous man can be a window for God’s healing love to shine through. In this case a consecrated practitioner.
