Severed Finger Restored Through Prayer

Carol, NJ.

When my son was a teenager, he was working with his dad on a table saw, and his finger slipped, causing him to cut it off. My husband called the practitioner and got help, then rushed him right away to the emergency room. They called me from work to leave and go over as well.

We had a doctor who was a very interesting guy. I said to him that he was telling me that there’s no way that they can do anything for the thumb. They said it’s just going to have to stay off. They said it’ll never go back. There’s nothing; the nerves have been severed. Everything’s been severed. There’s nothing there that they could even attach with microsurgery, whatever it is that they do. He said that they can’t do anything. So I said to him, “Well, we believe in the power of prayer, and I would like it if you would please just stitch it back on. Just stitch the flesh, whatever you need to do, but put it back on. And he was a Jewish man, and he wore a yamaka, and he pointed to his head where he had his yamaka, and he said, “Well, you can see I also believe in the power of prayer.” He said, “Okay, I’ll do it.” So, he did.

They kept him in the hospital for a little while. They told us, “Well, you know, it’s just going to turn black and fall off.” Well, it didn’t. And they gave a couple of other dire things, and they finally released him and let him go home. And they taught me how to change the bandage and which I did regularly. And then we had to go see the surgeon again and have him re-examine. And he did. And he said he doesn’t understand this. He said, “I can’t believe it.” He said his thumb is pink and beautiful, and it moves, and there’s nothing wrong with it. So he also said, though, that he would never have feelings in that area because the nerves were all severed. Well, he can feel everything. He has no difficulty with that thumb at all. And the surgeon was quite amazed and quite impressed by the power of God. And I am just so very, very grateful for that. My son is a carpenter, and without a thumb, it would have been awfully difficult for him to do his work. I am extremely grateful to God for the prayers of the practitioners and for God’s goodness and his loving care.
