Office Space Found

Cristina from Mexico

Last year, there was a change of bosses at my job, which would mean big changes for me and for everyone at work. I was working from my home-office for a long time, even after the pandemic emergency but with the change of boss I was asked to return to the office. The problem was that the office I had was already occupied by someone else and there didn’t seem to be enough places for everyone. So I was placed in a space shared with other people, which was not good for me because it was too noisy.

I asked my new boss for a more private place so I could concentrate better, and he told me that at the moment there was overcrowding in the office. At that time, I asked the practitioner for help to focus on prayer. She recommended that I read and work with the article PLACE by Mary Baker Eddy, daily. I did so for several weeks. This article is wonderful because it tells so many deep truths about what our place is. The spiritual meaning of place. At first, I was thinking about my physical place in the office, but little by little, I came to understand that it was not about that, but about my place with God, in God.

As nothing seemed to move for the moment, I stopped waiting for the change of place in my office and better focused on giving thanks for my new colleagues who surrounded me at work, who were quite nice and friendly. One day in prayer, I finally had a glimpse that my place was really in Love, and no one could take that eternal place away from me. What a beautiful feeling! After a few days of this realization, when I was not expecting it, my boss called me and told me that he already had a place for me, an office where I could have more privacy, but I would have to share it with another colleague. What a pleasant surprise this was. The office is beautiful and a quiet place to work. This proved that the mesmerism that there is not enough room for everyone, also vanished. Besides, the office has a beautiful view from the 21st floor where it is located, and my colleague is very kind and smart, and we get along very well.

The article PLACE contains many wonderful truths. Among them it says that, “The place must meet all the needs of the idea if it is provided by Principle.” It is simply marvelous to be able to prove all this. I thank God for His love, for this understanding brought to me by reading this article with the prayer support of the dear practitioner, and for knowing once again that divine Love always meets our needs.

I am grateful for Mrs. Eddy and her great legacy: Christian Science, which we can now know, practice, demonstrate, and share with the world. And I am also grateful for this lovely Plainfield church and the great work of its member, reflected in the weekly Bible Lessons, the website, the services, the Unity Watches, and the metaphysical support of the practitioners. Thank you! God bless you all!
