Handling Hatred Through Prayer

I loved Sunday’s Roundtable that brought out the Truth that any problem is a grand and wonderful thing because problems force us to cling closer to God. Recently a problem presented in my experience – human hatred – that was really aimed at Divine Love, and not me personally. This hatred tried to hurt me through people I was working with. At first, this caused shock and tears and my human self felt extremely hurt and betrayed by this inexplicable hatred of people who I had helped, who we both have helped and continue to help.

God has lifted me whenever I was able to turn away from that lie of hatred, evil because there is “no thing, mind, nor power” in any of it, as dearest Mary Baker Eddy wrote. Many times throughout this problem, I went down the rabbit hole, giving ground to error by reasoning with it as if it was a thing that had any power at all. With the prayers of my Plainfield practitioner and the many citations she gave, each time, I was able to climb out of that lie, the lie that evil is real and turn to God’s Loving arms and be comforted by Him in ways that no human caring could ever compare. Mary Baker Eddy writes “Those upon whom “the second death hath no power” are those who progress here and hereafter out of evil, their mortal element, and into good that is immortal; thus laying off the material beliefs that war against Spirit, and putting on the spiritual elements in divine Science. I am extremely grateful for these learnings! And I have decided that: I will not war against Spirit!

In the pure Christian Science of Mary Baker Eddy, our dear Mother Revelator, we are striving in the only dimension that matters in Life: “the second death hath no power”! What a Sublime and worthwhile, high goal! And we know that Christ Jesus and the prophets and the saints in the Holy Bible and Mary Baker Eddy and the modern day saints in Christian Science have attained that goal. What blessed joy and divine freedom we have in that! Eternal Life with our God, by working out every problem through the power of His might!

I honestly don’t know where we would be without our dear pure Independent Christian Science Church! So many precious and holy recordings give us constant messages of God’s pure Truth so we all can stay with God long enough and strong enough to gain His loving protection, guidance and care in the many trials of the human experience. Truly God’s idea’s are what we all are anyway, and so anyone, even those engaging in hate are receptive to Christian Science and they can know God’s Love; and through this Truth they are made free as dear Christ Jesus promised us all! I am so grateful for Christian Science, I am so grateful for this pure Independent Christian Science Church and teachings given by our practitioners at this Church. Thank you God! Thank you Christ Jesus! Thank you Mary Baker Eddy!
