Gentle Rains Come After Prayer to End Drought Conditions

Maria from Catalonia

Dear brothers and sisters of Plainfield, my life has been deeply shaken and it is still since I found the Plainfield website some years ago.

Thanks to the prayers of my Plainfield practitioner supporting my honest desire to come back home, to the Father’s house, I’m finding the way to the upper chamber, the One consciousness where only Goodness and Love reign. I can see that God is at the wheel of my life in many ways, even in the midst of much turmoil. Although the way is rugged, today my heart feels so grateful and amazed at the response from the weather committee in Plainfield three weeks ago when I requested help with drought conditions in my country. I can only give my testimony of gratitude while going the rugged way.

I sent a request to the weather committee for prayers for rain to end a drought that my country was suffering in Catalonia in mid-December. I felt encouraged after listening to some Roundtables, especially the testimony of the sister in Africa about the rain that fell in her country. Thanks to the prayers of the watchful members of the weather committee, they immediately responded, sending me some of the prayers they were using. The beautiful Hymn 224 and “Love’s rain blesses and A.M can not interrupt it.” The skies continued clear blue until the sixth of January, the Epiphany day. That night a brief and gentle rain fell. I let the committee know what a blessing this rain meant and asked for their continued prayers. And this night the rain came again, gentle and little but steady. This rain that in Catalan we call “la xim xim” is a blessing for the earth, for the trees, and for all nature.

I can only express my deep gratitude, and marvel at what the conscious unity with Good can do. This has given me a boost to keep praying and trusting with all my heart that the Kingdom of God is here, now. We have only to recognize it, be grateful and get our mortal self out of the way, so God can manifest Him/Herself, in all His/Her glory. Thanks to our God of Love, to Christ Jesus, our way shower, and Mary Baker Eddy for bringing us Christian Science, and to my practitioner for her patience and consecration, and to all of you for your faithfulness and presence.

God bless you all! Que Déu us beneeixi!
